Campine Recycling produces the full range of lead alloys and soft lead from lead residues.

By doing so we keep the environment safe from junk batteries and other spent lead residues from application in cable sheating – roofing – sanitary and glass.

Our Mission

Campine Recycling’s role is to close a loop by converting spent lead acid batteries and other lead-containing residues into raw materials that meet the quality requirements of the main lead user sectors.

We endeavour to promote the highest possible level of scrap collection and to use the recycling technology with the least environmental impact.

Lead Risk Assessment

Campine Recycling NV is a member of the Lead Development Association International (LDAI).

Lead Development Association International represents companies and associations which are concerned with the safe production, use and disposal of lead and lead products. Health, safety and environment are one of the principal activities of the association. In the light of growing calls for industry to take greater responsibility for the assessment of its products and anticipated changes to EU policy on chemicals, the European lead industry has made a definitive commitment to conduct a voluntary risk assessment.

The Netherlands Government participates in the voluntary risk assessment process as a ‘reviewing country’ – a role specifically created for voluntary risk assessments. Independent experts in relevant health and environmental disciplines have been retained by industry to form separate scientific review panels. Lead metal, PbO and Pb3O4 and nine lead stabilisers have been covered in the risk assessment.
